Gold Coast Green Week 2021
Gold Coast Green Week is a curated 10-day calendar of environmental events that take place on the first week of June to coincide with the United Nations’ World Environment Day on 5 June. The calendar showcases some of the best environmental initiatives on the Gold Coast while celebrating its unique natural environment.
Gold Coast Green Week is a continuation of Gecko’s highly successful World Environment Day festival organised for over 20 years and now in Collaboration with Watergum Community Inc. The event is designed to further include and engage the wider Gold Coast community and to celebrate the region, its unique environment and community. Gold Coast Green Week 2019 included 70 events by 43 hosts. The events varied from children’s wildlife tours and expos to citizen science sessions and tours for adult participants.
